Hybrid solar-diesel optimization for a remote industrial site

An off-grid industrial site ran solar, storage and diesel with no shared view. NeoTAQ tied the assets together to keep the site inside its limits, protect the gensets and make the most of solar across the day.

The challenge

Solar, the battery and the diesel gensets each did their own thing, so the site ran harder and burned more fuel than it needed to. Pushing too much solar risked reverse-power tripping a genset; holding back wasted available yield.

What NeoTAQ did

Coordinated as one site

PV, storage and gensets were monitored and controlled together rather than as separate islands.

Genset protection

Gensets are held in their efficient range with solar ramped gently to avoid reverse-power trips.

Storage that earns its keep

The battery is dispatched to support the site within safe state-of-charge and power limits.

The outcome

Less diesel

More of the load is carried by solar and storage.

Protected gensets

No reverse-power trips, no wet-stacking from underloading.

Always within limits

The site stays inside its operating envelope automatically.
